Pen-Kalamkari or Hand-painted kalamkari is an-ancient heritage craft of India, mainly in Sri-kalahasti located in South India.
Kalamkari is derived as ‘Kalam’ which means ‘Pen’ and ‘Kari’ which refers to craftsmanship.
The Kalamkari art depicts epics tales from “Hindu mythology” like Mahabharata or Ramayana and “Hindu God and Goddesses. It also includes floral motifs, animal forms, and villages background.Pen-Kalamkari is totally freehand drawing most authentically used to fill up the backgrounds.
